New Light Therapist

Amanda is a former teacher with 17 years experience in New York City Public High Schools and Chicago Public Schools. Amanda provides professional mental health services to educators as both a fellow teacher and a therapist. Her teaching experience and social work training has prepared her to understand the overwhelming stress, unrealistic expectations, and high-stakes responsibility of being a teacher in this current environment. Amanda provides more than just self-care to educators and people who nurture children. Amanda will listen to educators' concerns and issues and work with them to alleviate stress and anxiety. She has teaching experience and a passion for providing professional care and support to teachers.
